Of course we are all busy these days — believe me I get it. But sometimes rushing a process is not worth the time-savings. In other words, shortcuts have their downside. But if you just want to tuck into a comforting bowl of home made oatmeal a little quicker, here is how you can cut the time while preserving the health benefits of properly prepared homemade oatmeal. It's quick oats without the processing!
I would, however, recommend that you use sprouted oats if possible, because much of the phytic acid and any other toxins will have been removed which is better for nutrient availability as well as digestibility. But if you can only get organic without them being sprouted that's still going to be so much better than commercial quick oats!
