About The Class
This week we learn Jerry Douglas's solo on Blue Railroad Train from the Tony Rice Unit Manzanita album. This solo is bluesy, funky and has some great licks that can easily transposed to any keys. I especially love the first phrase of his solo with the ghost notes that give it a funky chicken picking sound. The lick he uses to move from the 4 chord back to 1 is a great way seamlessly move across the fretboard. The song is in the key of F and is played without a capo. If you're looking for some fun closed position licks this is a great place to start.
*Recordings of each class and TAB will be provided. You do not need to attend the sessions live to take this class. I'll send a link to download the recordings and TAB after each class. You can sign up after the scheduled date and I'll send you the recordings for any missed classes.
