Three things are needed to use a Roku device as a DVR with Comcast:
1. A Roku device such as the Roku Streaming Stick+
2. The Xfinity Stream App
3. Cloud DVR service from Comcast
This video describes using a Roku device as a DVR with Comcast Xfinity TV and compares it to using a TiVo and similar devices. The video describes some issues to be aware of before going down the path of using a Roku device as a DVR. The TiVo option is also not without issues. The most concerning issue with using a TiVo with Comcast is the unknown time when Comcast will stop supporting devices like a TiVo.
