When Mick Fanning and six other mates set up a boutique brewery, Balter, on the Gold Coast back in 2016 they did it for some fun. But they were pleasantly surprised when Balter Brewery took off becoming one of the fastest growing brands in the craft beer market. And the hard work paid off late last year, when Carlton United Breweries bought Balter for a reported $200 million.
