While Met Gala has become a widely acclaimed event in the fashion world, it has also done its rounds for being a very liberal, empowering and unique in its way of celebrating art with fashion.
Involving Karl Lagerfeld and celebrating his work without acknowledging his oppressive thinking, raises the debate of separating art from its artist. It also questions the very notion of looking at a person through their work while completing ignoring their personal beliefs.
