Production
The film was officially announced with a poster release on social media on August 31, 2022, by actor Dhanush. A puja ceremony took place on September 1, 2022, in Chennai to mark the beginning of the production. Notably, the film features Vijay Kanishka, the son of director Vikraman, in a leading role. The teaser of "Hit List" was released on August 18, 2023.
