After picking up the PC Engine Core Grafx and instead of waiting to buy a Duo-R/RX I decided to dive in at the deep end and grab a CD-Rom2（シーディーロムロム) unit. From my research into this system I've found they're prone to failure and finding a decent one at the right price was going to be a challenge.
So in the end I decided to pick up a faulty one and do my own repair. The discs do not spin on this unit and before buying it I'd done some reading up about the known causes of this issue and I was fairly confident I could fix it.
If you have a CD-Rom2 unit and the discs have stopped spinning then maybe this video can show you how to bring your unit back to life!
