The Prince and Princess of Wales also took to Instagram and Twitter to share sweet photos from their official visit to Liverpool, where the couple toured the new Royal Liverpool University Hospital. Kate and William tweeted: "Lovely to be in Liverpool and thank you NHS staff for all your hard work and dedication #ThanksNHS."
They also stated: "Witness how @LivHospitals new, state-of-the-art hospital improves patient experience, safety and facilitates recovery for inpatients."
It was Prince William and Kate Middleton's first social media post since Harry claimed his brother assaulted him during an argument with wife Meghan. “He grabbed my collar, ripped off my necklace and threw me to the ground. "I landed on the dog bowl and it split under my back and the shrapnel cut into me. I lay there for a while, dizzy, then got up and told him to get out."
Harry called William "my dear brother, my old enemy". Prince Harry's memories were released on Tuesday, January 10. At the same time, on Monday, the funeral of the former King of Greece in Athens took place, and members of the royal family of all European families participated in respect. The Princess Royal represented the British Royal Family at the service at the Metropolitan Cathedral, while Lady Gabriella Kingston, daughter of Prince Michael of Kent, represented the Prince of Wales. Many royal watchers on social media have wondered why King Charles and Prince William are not traveling to Athens, given their close family ties to former Greek royals - Constantine is Charles' second cousin and William's godfather. Although Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace have not revealed the reason for their absence, it is common for royals to send representatives in their place for events such as major weddings and funerals. Their schedules are also likely to conflict with the funeral date and subsequent travel to and from Greece. Charles and Camilla met the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nicos Anastasiades, on Monday as a picture was shared on his Twitter account.
Both the King and the Welsh have returned to royal duties after their Christmas break, which ended last week
King Charles and Queen Camilla are currently living at their Scottish residence at Birkhall, and the monarch visited the Aboyne and Mid Deeside Community Shed in Aberdeenshire last Thursday. Meanwhile, William and Kate hosted events in Merseyside last week, including the opening of the new Royal Liverpool University Hospital, while the Duchess held an early annual meeting on Friday. Constantine's funeral was attended by many heads of state, including King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands, King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden and Queen Silvia, and Queen Margrethe of Denmark.
