Chris Cade - Actor & Storyteller. Chris Cade is a freelance actor & storyteller in educational theatre.
Born in Hull, Chris trained at St.John’s College, York (1972-76) and Bretton Hall, Wakefield (1987-90). He taught full-time for 20 years and part-time for 9 years in primary, special and secondary schools in North and West Yorkshire.
Chris is a co- founder of Platform 4 Theatre at the National Railway Museum (1991-present). He has written and delivered educational theatre projects in museums, churches, heritage sites and schools across Yorkshire and beyond since September 2005. He can devise educational theatre programmes tailored to suit interpretative and curricular requirements.
Chris has played high profile characters like William Wilberforce and Isambard Kingdom Brunel and lower status roles across the centuries from Ancient Egyptian, Roman, Viking, Medieval, Civil War, Georgian and Victorian times to World War II and present day. He has provided ‘voice-overs’ for exhibitions and audio/video tours for the general public and school groups.
