The first meeting of the Development Working Group (DWG) under India's G20 Presidency happened in Mumbai on December 13. Indonesia is set to host the annual G20 Summit but what is G20 grouping all about and how does it work? At the closing session of G20 Summit in Indonesia, PM Modi was presented with the gavel for assuming Presidency for the next G20 Summit in India. In his remarks, PM Modi said, "The world is looking at the G-20 with hope. Today, I want to assure that India's G-20 presidency will be inclusive, ambitious, decisive, and action-oriented. "The world’s largest economies are set to meet in India under the banner of G20 in Mumbai from December 13-16.The Development working meeting will be held on December 14-15. The BMC held a major beautification drive in the city ahead of the meetings. India assumed the G20 presidency in December 2022 from Indonesia.
