"The world's soundtrack from Japan FILM SCORE PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA is an orchestra specializing in soundtracks. The orchestra performs carefully selected projects and original scores from the soundtracks of movies, TV, video games, and stage performances.
We want to increase the opportunities for people to hear this music loved around the world performed live. We want to wipe away the high threshold of orchestras, and offer concerts that can be enjoyed by both performers and audiences as casually as going to see a movie on the weekend. We want to learn the important role that scored music plays, and realize the transmission and passing on of this music while faithfully reproducing its performance techniques and methods of expression.
The members of this orchestra are soundtrack lovers who have come together with this in mind. With film music composer Nobuko Toda as our music director, we embrace the unique world of soundtracks and their artistic expression methods without being bound by stereotypes, and challenge the music of the future with an authentic orientation, from classical to hybrid music.
