By setting a conneciton as metered connection, you can save your data and prevent the computer from automatically downloading the background data. It's highly useful especially when you have a limited data plan or when your connection is mobile tithering.
1- connect to your connection
2- start button I settings I network and internet I scroll down to "advanced options" I metered connection I turn on "set as metered connection"
