It is located near Frankfurt, Wiesbaden, Mainz. And it is known for its long history in making wine and champagne.
Some of the most famous vineyards of Germany are here in Eltville: Rauenthaler Baiken, Steinberg and Erbacher Marcobrunn.
The Romantische Rhein / Romantic Rhine is an UNESCO world heritage landscape. And an absolute joy to travel. This was one of our stops on a road trip from Wiesbaden to Koblenz: Eltville, Rüdesheim, Bacharach, Boppard, Stolzenfels Castle.
