TODAY'S PLAN:
1. Palácio da Pena
2. Bar do Fundo
3. Miradouro da Praia do Carneiro
4. Casa Piriquita
5. Hotel Tivoli Palácio de Seteais
6. Sintra's National Palace
7. Cabo da Roca
In today’s video, we visited the mysterious and beautiful Sintra.
First, we went to Pena’s Castle (Palácio da Pena), we lost the bus but we took a Tuk Tuk instead, which was so much fun, we really recommend it! (1€ more expensive than the bus but REALLY worth it, and with our current situation it’s so much better being on open-air).
The gardens of Palácio da Pena are huge, so we walked a lot, everything was foggy but it gives the “Sintra Charm”. We walked (or almost hiked) until the highest point of the park, Cruz Alta (High Cross) where we couldn’t see much because of all the fog but we could fly the drone when small sun rays appeared (luckily). We finally arrived at Palácio da Pena, it was just amazing with all the colors and different exotic architectural styles of the time (XIX Century). We called our Tuk Tuk driver again, who was very kind. We asked for his phone number in order to go back to our car (it is forbidden to arrive with your own car to the palaces). Once we were there, we went to a restaurant that Maria went to and she really liked (20 min. by car from the Vila) and we had a great lunch by the beach. We had a shrimps risotto (risotto de camarões) and octopus with potatoes (polvo à lagareiro), of course, accompanied by 2 fresh imperiais (draft beers).
After having lunch, it was time for desserts! We stopped by Miradouro da Praia do Caneiro on our way to the Vila, very dramatic but beautiful cliffs. Then, we went to the historical center to Piriquita’s Pastries Shop to get Travesseiros and Queijadas, the famous desserts of Sintra, we preferred the Travesseiros… made of cream, eggs, and sugar… So good…
We explored the town, the architecture is beautiful there, the colorful buildings, the very green trees, and the palaces are just amazing, it has its own weather because of its mountain range that it is really close to the Atlantic Ocean.
Our last stop, was the Westernmost Point of Europe, Cabo da Roca. Everything was foggy, lots of wind, not a good scene. BUT, we waited 15 minutes and the sun started to shine and we were finally able to see the spectacular views, and to fly the drone to show you ;)
Hope that you guys enjoyed our day in Sintra,

We’re Maria and Du, we met shooting a commercial in Lisbon (Maria’s city) in 2018.
We started a distance relationship flying twice a month (Lisbon - Barcelona) and after a few months of that, we finally moved in together in Barcelona, where Du was born and raised (his parents are from South Korea).
We started our Youtube channel because we love traveling, we always enjoy our trips and we wanted to keep our memories through nice videos, now we can share them with you.
Our final goal would be traveling full-time and someday, helping people around the world doing something good.
