Scattered showers and storms will continue through sunset across portions of the Charlotte area. Watch for impacts including heavy rain, frequent lightning, and gusty winds! These storms will be primarily north of the metro.
Friday
Tomorrow will be the last day in the mid-90s for (at least) a few days across the region. We'll start the day in the low-mid 70s before soaring to near 95°. Heat indices will surpass 100° once again with plentiful sunshine.
Another round of scattered strong storms are possible in the late afternoon and early evening along a cold front. This will produce a low risk for severe storms will damaging winds the primary threat.
Weekend Forecast
As the front stalls across the Carolinas, rain chances ramp up this weekend while high temperatures drop. It'll stay in the upper 80s all weekend, although it'll stay muggy and summer-like humidity-wise.
