Comparison/Test of the Sony HDR-AS30 vs. GoPro Hero 3+ (Black Edition)
Every dad needs an action cam. We made the test between the Sony AS30 and the GoPro hero 3+. Both where filmed at 1080 @30fps and no post editing was done.
In my opinion the GoPro Hero 3+ has a better film quality and the iPhone/Android app is a lot better than the Sony app (PlayMemories Mobile). On the other side the SteadyShot of Sony makes the image a lot more stable. If you compare the prize of the Sony cam is nearly half the prize of the GoPro Hero 3+. Comparing the quality/prize ration the Sony probably takes the lead. Especially if Sony would come up with a more functional iPhone/Android app.
