I signed up for the gold prospectors association of America and they have me a set of gold claw gold pans for joining. I went interested for weeks, but then I finally tried panning the pay dirt they sent me and WOW did I love it! now I can't stop! I had to learn everything I could about the gold claw! people told me that gold prospectors need to scratch up their new pans to get rid of the manufacturing oils and make the plastic "sticky" for fine gold. I didn't want to damage my brand new gold claw pans so I reached out to the manufacturer - and he answered! in fact he says no, the gold claw does not need to be scratched up

I love my gold claw pans, especially the tiny pocket claw! so as I learn how to use them, I will share it with you! good luck and heavy pans!
