This year I had the unexpected pleasure of working a fourth summer at YMCA Camp Mason, 13 years after my third (and I thought, last). In between my part-time role driving for trips and doing the jobs that the leadership and program staff didn't have time to do, I asked if I could film daily camp life, in order to teach myself Adobe Premiere Pro. Here is the result - a love letter to a life I'd left behind a long time ago and had the sudden chance to experience again.
Thanks to Anna, Keith and all of the Camp Mason staff for welcoming me back this summer and tolerating me doing so much filming. The music is the amazing new single by my favourite band of the moment. Haiku Salut in a recent interview ([ Ссылка ]) described the themes of 'Cold To Crack The Stones' as being about togetherness, community, the sounds of the woodland and the nearness between the natural and unnatural - all themes that remind me of Camp Mason itself.
This is my own work and not being used for commercial purposes. Music © 2018 PRAH Recordings.
