This tangy and fruity chutney made using kokum is an absolute delight.
KOKUM CHUTNEY
Ingredients
10-12 kokum petals
½ inch ginger, chopped
2 green chillies
3-4 tbsps scraped fresh coconut
1 tsp cumin seeds
Salt to taste
1 tsp chopped jaggery
Method
1. Soak kokum petals in hot water for 20 minutes.
2. Drain the soaked kokum petals and put into a blender jar, add ginger, green chillies, coconut, cumin seeds, salt, jaggery and ¼ cup water and blend to a fine paste.
3. Transfer the blended paste into a bowl and serve.
