This is a video in my new Core Concepts series -- designed to provide students and lifelong learners a brief discussion focused on one main concept from a classic philosophical text and thinker.
This video focuses on Plato's work, the Symposium, and specifically on the dialectical discussion between Socrates and Agathon. In the course of this discussion, the position Agathon has just argued for, i.e. that Love is good and beautiful is examined, and argued not to be the case, since Love desires what it lacks
