The BMW M340i is the top-spec 3 Series sedan before you get to the M3 range. But the 285kW (382 hp) 3.0-litre 2023 M340i might be the best BMW 3 Series. In fact, it might be the best BMW full stop. One thing’s for sure: it’s better than that new Mercedes-AMG C43. The Audi S4 is also worth a look, especially if you want a fast six-cylinder wagon. Plus, don’t miss the BMW i4 EV.
