Hello there!
Well as you can see, a new flow location. One that I will, and in fact already have, revisited. It's a landmark in Duisburg called Tiger & Turtle. Not only is it really cool on its own, but it also gives you a fantastic outlook over the entire city. Probably one of the flattest on the planet. ^^
From there you can marvel at so many things in Duisburg. Like a sewage treatment plant, iron industry and a stockpile of cargo shipping containers. Well you can also see how green Duisburg actually is. So it's not all bad. But it does represent the city kind of well. Why would you build it there? Well I actually know, but it's really kind of boring and I rather wanna talk about the video and the tune. Oh and one last thing, this construct doesn't actually change colors. ^^
So the video was, as per usual fun to make, and a nice surprise when looking at it for the first time. For only then did I realize how bright this spot actually is. And that really made flowing after this one a bit more difficult, as I was then aware that you can actually see my face. Back in cologne, or in the dusk setting in general, it didn't really matter how I oriented myself to the camera, but this spot changes that. And that always needs a little accustoming for me. Since the biggest enemy of my flow shows up. My nemesis. My own brain. And I'm not kidding. If you knew how often I uttered the words "stupid brain...shut up!" to myself during my flow sessions, you would certainly consider myself even crazier than before. Which is not that big a deal for me since it would still be very much below my actual level of queerdness.
Anyway the tune. All I can say is wow. Pola & Bryson don't really need an introduction to anyone who listens to DnB. And they make amazing liquid sounds! So how in the heck did it take so long for their names to pop up here then? Well all I can say is there's so many tunes and so little time. But you shouldn't be surprised to encounter their name here again.
As I said, I heard this one during a Jon Void set. And was just struck by the lyrics. I often say every tune has its moment. And this one just came to me when I needed to hear the words. Somehow addressing thoughts and struggles that I was and am facing. Gave me a much needed boost. So thanks so much to SOLAH for truly wonderful lyrics on top of this really outstanding liquid tune. Big big ups and tons of love!
Hope you enjoyed watching and can forgive the sudden end of the description, but it was getting kind of long. :D
Stay safe. Be kind.
And may the force be with you!
