This flight takes us twice around the traffic pattern at Tacoma Narrows Airport.
On the first approach, instead of pulling the power back to a landing, we leave 1,500 RPMs of power in and keep the wheels just above the runway.
Practicing this flight condition contributes significantly to improved landings.
Note that aileron effectiveness is greatly reduced at this reduced speed, so directional control comes primarily from rudder inputs.
