Holy freakin’ crap!
I was just talking to some of my friends about how I had a feeling that since The Flintstones has been airing on MeTV for two years now, it wouldn’t be too long before they also got the broadcasting rights to The Jetsons, and my hunch turned out to be correct!
The Jetsons will air on MeTV every Sunday morning at 11:30 AM beginning on February 21, 2021. It’s only airing on the channel for a single half-hour broadcast per week, so there’s a chance that only the original 1962-63 run of the series (in other words, just 24 out of 75 episodes) will be included in MeTV’s syndication package, but we’ll just have to wait and see if that’s indeed the case.
Since MeTV just started airing Looney Tunes, Tom & Jerry, and Popeye last month, this means that all of Warner Bros. Entertainment’s “Fab Fave” animated properties are being shown on the same network for the first time in 9 years (since July 2012, when Popeye aired its final regular broadcast on Boomerang; since then, the sailor has only returned to that channel for special occasions).
Luckily, I was able to catch a promo for MeTV’s premiere of The Jetsons while watching the Flintstones episode, “Fred Flintstone Woos Again” on the channel earlier today, so you’ll get to see it in this video!
Will YOU be watching The Jetsons when it starts airing on MeTV? I already have all the upcoming airings scheduled to be recorded on my DVR, and I’ll make sure to make a video featuring a clip from the channel’s very first airing of the show for this channel as soon as I’m able to.
