Hyderabad (Telangana), Dec 27 (ANI): Students, who excelled in their higher education in the year 2015-2016, were given laptops by Telangana Power Minister G. Jagadish Reddy. In addition, students of Indian Institutes of Technology and Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery were also scholarships of Rs. 50,000 and students of National Institutes of Technology and BDS were given Rs. 40,000 as scholarship. Students of Indian Institutes of Technology were given six laptops, National Institutes of Technology students got 20 laptops, one laptop was given to IISM and students of NIFT and TISS got eight and six laptops, respectively. The students were given rewards under the concept of ‘Earn while you learn’. Several programmes have been designed and being implemented by the Telangana government with humanitarian approach towards the physically challenged persons. The state government is always working to provide better education to people of Telangana.
