Worm composting is a great way of using worms to recycle food scraps and other organic material into an amazing compost soil called vermicompost, or worm compost, as well as composting liquid. Worm compost is full of great nutrients and good microorganisms that help maintain and keep your soil healthy. Your vegetable garden will love it! In this video, we are showing you step by step how to make your own stackable worm compost bin.

To make the worm Bin:
Drill small holes in the bottom and top of the sides on two of the bins.
Drill a single large hole on the bottom of one side of the third bin to put a plug.
Fill the top bin with bedding. Bedding can be:
- Shredded brown cardboard
- Shredded paper (not bleached white office paper)
- Shredded newspaper (not colored)
- Aged compost
- Aged horse or cow manure
- Coco coir
- Peat moss
- Straw and hay
- Fall leaves and other yard waste
- Wood chips
Place worms in bin with the bedding.
Put worm bin in a cool, shaded area. Temperatures between 55° to 75℉.
add enough water to keep the compost moist if it looks like it's getting dry.
Allow worms to acclimate to their new home for a week before feeding. One pound of food per one pound of worms per week. What to feed worms:
Greens: Vegetable and fruit scraps, bread, pasta, coffee grounds and filters, teabags, dead plant matter from houseplants
Browns: Paper, junk mail, paper egg cartons, cardboard, dry leaves
