Meet Our 2019 Panetta Congressional Intern: Samantha Logan!
Samantha Logan is a junior transfer student majoring in Political Science with a minor in International Relations. Ms. Logan has done a broad spectrum of humanitarian work throughout Central America, which inspired her decision to minor in International Relations. Her interests in public policy are currently in researching the effects of potential campaign finance reforms and how the U.S. Government can improve upon its accountability and transparency.
Ms. Logan is currently serving as a Congressional intern to District 14 Congresswoman Jackie Speier. While working in the Congresswoman’s district office, she has gained valuable knowledge of the day-to-day work of a Congressional staffer. Ms. Logan hopes to continue to gain insight into the legislative process and the complexity of some of our nation’s most divisive issues to better understand how to address them. Upon returning from Washington D.C., Ms. Logan plans on graduating in the spring of 2020. Afterward, she plans to further her education at SF State through the Political Science graduate program before working for a Congressperson as a legislative aide.
