PAINTING BLOND HAIR IN WATERCOLOR
Hi everyone! When we finish painting faces in watercolor, there is a next big step ahead of us: painting hair.
This can always be a challenge - especially when we want to paint a person with dyed hair. There is nothing wrong with beautiful golden hair, but sometimes, when you want to capture person's likeness, it's better to choose color pallet taking these tips in consideration.
DO'S and DON'TS : How to paint blond hair in watercolor
- make all of the warm colors a little cooler
- don't apply these colors all over the hair - let the lighter parts stay almost white, add color only in places, where you have shadows
- always make sure that your painting has completely dried before painting another layer of hair, otherwise you’ll lose all the detail.
- test your colors on a scrap of paper before painting
