I'm always changing between tunings in my sets, so felt a bit 😰 when someone handed me a guitar with a Floyd Rose bridge before a show. For those who are unfamiliar with the Floyd Rose, it's a wonderful little mechanical spring-balanced bridge so you never have to retune... exactly what I didn't want! haha.
Thankfully securing (or blocking) it like a fixed bridge is actually BRILLIANTLY EASY. So after sifting through a lot of long-winded explanations, here's the info consolidated. ☝️
Hope this video helps someone out there! It goes by quickly, so feel free to pause as needed (like+subscribe would be cool too!) 👍😍

Tools Used:
- Philips Head Screwdriver
- Hex Key (3mm)
- 3 Wooden Blocks from a Baby Jenga set
- Glue
- Ruler
- Soft Towel
PRO-TIP 1: A used Jenga set can go a long way in the DIY world. I happened to come across a baby Jenga set ($1.25 ) with 48 little wooden blocks... I needed it for another project, but lo and behold, it fit perfectly in the Floyd Rose backing!
PRO-TIP 2: In case you have small gaps to fill, you can also wedge in cheap guitar picks as shims/spacers
