An Employment Contract is created between an employer and employee and outlines terms of employment, such as:
- Amount of pay;
- Employment period;
- Employee’s responsibilities;
- Termination notice requirements (for both employee and employer);
- Leave periods; and
- And much more.

As with any regular Employment Contract, an employee should know that they will have Federal and State withholding cut from their pay instead of an agreement with an independent contractor, who is liable for their own taxes.
