Experience what it's like to be part of Universal Technical Institute's (UTI) Power & Performance labs that are part of the Automotive Technology program at the Avondale, AZ, campus and UTI schools throughout the country.
Within UTI's Power & Performance labs, students participate in performing a full engine teardown, full blueprint and full engine rebuild. Students will also drop the engine they've built into a tea bucket to test and tune, in addition to building performance tuning maps and uploading them to vehicles to test and tune.
In the Chassis Dyno lab, students work with performance tuning chips by uploading them to different cars and running them on the dyno to test horsepower and torque levels.
After all, who doesn't love a fast car?
The curriculum prepared at UTI is geared toward all students interested in joining today's automotive workforce. No previous mechanic experience is required. Our students span from having zero prior automotive knowledge to those who come from a family of mechanics and are looking to further their abilities.
