Thanks for watching my first concept vid! I wanted to do a piece that I feel strongly about and that others can relate to. I am not from the streets, but I have been affected by it either through family or friends. Throughout all history and especially over the last 20 years, young African American men, as well as other minorities, have been subject to police violence, racial profiling/discrimination and brutality. When looking for inspiration, this song connected with me and my emotions and, I hope, with the struggles and emotions of many others out there regarding this extremely prevalent & disheartening issue. A sister and daughter to African American men, I can not help but pray and hope for their future, safety, and end to the constant struggle.
