As Nigeria seeks to develop her gas resources, President Bola Tinubu has pledged his unwavering commitment to ensuring the success of the implementation of the country’s first Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) facility.
The president gave the assurance when he received a group of joint venture partners accompanied by the ambassador of France to Nigeria and Deputy Ambassador for Japan to Nigeria in his office at the Presidential Villa, Abuja
The $5 billion project is projected to create 7,000 jobs and is set to commence first quarter of 2026.
Speaking to correspondents after the meeting with the president, leader of the delegation and Group Managing Director (GMD) of UTM FLNG, Julius Rone, shed some light on the capacity and impact of the facility including addressing domestic requirements by producing 300,000 tonnes per annum of LPG
