Course content designers are using virtual reality (VR), extended reality (XR), and augmented reality (AR) to create immersive learning experiences on Coursera. Polina Varela, Coursera's Senior Product Manager, introduces Coursera's VR platform and highlights three live courses that leverage immersive technologies at the Coursera Conference 2023.
In partnership with Meta, Coursera has created a platform that allows partner institutions and organizations to leverage Coursera as a resource center for immersive learning, providing a variety of options, including VR, AR, and 360 videos. Partners currently using Coursera's VR platform include the #UniversityofMichigan, Duke University, Peking University, and the University of Washington.
