It's frequently assumed that by using pre-certified Radio Frequency Modules such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or 4G Modems it's possible to avoid RF compliance testing. That is rarely true. Also, it's important to know the difference in compliance testing for pre-certified modules vs non-certified 'bespoke' solutions, because RF testing is very expensive and you really want to minimize it where possible. In this video, I will cover these topics and discuss CE, FCC, PTCRB, and some other types of certification that is frequently used for IoT products.
