Asian Elephant and first-time mum, Mali, gave birth to a healthy male calf overnight in the barn at Melbourne Zoo. Mali had the support of her herd nearby, with Num-Oi and Kulab watching and her mother, Dokkoon, Dokkoon's calf, and matriarch, Mek Kapah, in the birthing barn with her.
