Ecological Role of Black Soldier Fly / Ongoing Farm Ecological Advocate video was created to emphasize the importance of the Black Soldier Fly to our environment.
The Black is an insect the produces eggs and transform into larvae, prepupae, pupae, then become an adult black soldier fly.
The larvae stage is the eating stage. The larvae eat and eat organic wastes. The organic wastes are converted into protein good for livestock organic feeds. When black soldier fly larvae eat organic wastes, they are preventing the production of carbon dioxide and methane gas that are greenhouse gases that can cause damage to the ecosystem.
