Mike Johnson is a computer architect and designer with extensive experience in both CISC and RISC computer design. He received an MSEE from Arizona State and went to work for IBM Office Products Division where he was partially responsible for the implementation of the IBM 801 RISC processor.
After several years working on various implementations, he decided it was time to move on. He was accepted into the PhD program at Stanford and began a new job at Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) where he was responsible for the design of the 29K processor. He eventually moved onto other processor programs, including the K5 and the K7.
Mike is now CEO of a small company, Mireplica Technology, which aims to make a major advance in computer architecture.
