There are a few shapes that are just not possible to get with standard 2D sketches and extrude features. If you want to model cables, tubes, or anything of the sort in Fusion360, 3D sketches are the way to go. They work just like regular sketches, but you can leave the plane you're sketching on and go into the 3rd dimension. In this video, I show you how you can control the sketch features in 3D, as some of them can be quite tricky. I also give you real-world examples of where I used this exact technique.
