Join me as we assess a below knee amputee's residual limb and cast for a new transtibial socket. He got his first prosthesis in May of 2019 and this will be his second socket replacement. He has had his current socket since February 2020, but now he has lost residual limb volume, especially distally and has been getting pressure and redness below his knee cap and at the cut end of the bone. A new, more comfortable fitting transtibial socket will allow him to continue with his active lifestyle.
