Bad company was the most successful super group from the mid 1970's. Paul Rogers and Simon Kirk were previously from the band Free, Boz Burrell was from King Crimson and Mick Ralphs was from Mott the Hoople. The debut self titled album Bad Company and the follow up album Straight Shooter were both certified multiplatinum. Bad Company was also the first band on Led Zeppelin's new record label Swan Song.

Shooting Star is one of the bands best known tunes about the dangers of Rock n Roll excess.
