Guard Breaks are so important - so what can be arguably more important is learning how to guard break interrupt reliably. The game has a tutorial on the interrupts in the advanced tutorial (which you should absolutely complete since it gives you 1500 steel) but it says to start your interrupt on the beginning of their guard break. This isn't correct - you want to start your guard break interrupt when they actually land their guard break, or you hear the thud of their guard break landing.

Go into the practice mode and test this out. Try it yourself!
