In this video, Michelle shows you her Top 3 Fingertip Exercises to Improve Flexion. Try these exercises to help bend, or flex, the tip of your finger. The fingertip joint, also known as your DIP joint, can become stiff after a finger fracture, injury, surgery, or arthritis.
If you are struggling with finger flexion, you may have difficulty grasping or pinching objects. Fine motor coordination and finger dexterity may also be greatly affected. This can leave you very frustrated when trying to use your hand for all your daily activities or for your favorite hobbies!
In this video, the first 2 fingertip flexion exercises will work on improving the range of motion of your DIP joint. Exercise #3 will work on improving mobility and strength. You can follow along with these exercises. You will also learn the recommended sets and repetitions to get the best results.
