THIS VIDEO IS A RECONSTRUCTION OF THE FOLLOWING SITUATION IN FLIGHT:
21-FEB-2021. A Delta Boeing 737-800 (B738), registration N3736C, performing flight DAL1655 / DL1655 from Louisville Muhammad Ali international airport, KY (USA) to Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson international airport, GA (USA), after departure, at 15000 feet, returned to Louisville Approach frequency and reported about trim problem. The aircraft requested return. The emergency trucks were standing by on the ground.

COMMENTS: After departure DAL1655 climbed to 15000 and was under control of Indianapolis center. But the pilots probably declared an emergency and decided to return back. In a moment DAL1655 will contact Louisville Approach.
DAL1655: Louisville, DAL1655, with you, 15000 on the north heading. We just need vectors till we get squared away to come back in for landing.
APPROACH: DAL1655, Louisville Approach, roger, descend and maintain 9000 for now and you can just stay on that present heading, just let me know when you’re ready to come back in. Do you need any kind of ... like, is it difficult to turn, or what's the nature of the emergency?
DAL1655: Yeah, it's electrics trim. It's our flight control trim. So we're trimming manually as we speak. I gotta run a QRH procedure and contact company and get all squared away and we'll come back for ILS 17L.
APPROACH: DAL1655, roger that, expect ILS RW 17L approach. And just when you’re able, no rush, let me get the fuel on board, souls and… Do you need any kind of like ... do you need longer, kinda like bigger turns, or are you able to take normal rate turn?
DAL1655: Yeah, normal rate but a long final, so we can trim, coming down final. And so we can take, we do normal turns right now. We have 80 souls on board and we have 11200 pounds of fuel.
APPROACH: DAL1655, roger that.
DAL1655: Okay, we’re gonna work all this, we’ll let you know when we’re ready to turn. Just give us turns when you need to and we’ll let you know when we’re ready to take the approach.
APPROACH: Roger.
DAL1655: And thanks for your help.

APPROACH: DAL1655, at pilot’s discretion descend and maintain 4000.
DAL1655: Pilot’s discretion, descend and maintain 4000. We’re gonna stay up a little while. We got to work through these procedures.
APPROACH: Roger.
APPROACH: DAL1655, when able turn right heading 100.
DAL1655: When able 100 heading, DAL1655.
DAL1655: And Louisville, DAL1655, big picture, we’re gonna have to make trim manually. So what we're gonna end up asking for is a very long final. We're gonna get to approach speed real early, slowly trim it up, and then just fly it all the way down with it trimmed up. And that's the plan for now.

HOW I DO VIDEOS:
1) I monitor media, airspace, looking for any non-standard, emergency and interesting situation.
2) I find communications of ATC unit for the period of time I need.
3) I take only phrases between air traffic controller and selected flight.
4) I find a flight path of selected aircraft.
5) I make an animation (early couple of videos don’t have animation) of flight path and aircraft, where the aircraft goes on his route.
6) When I edit video I put phrases of communications to specific points in video (in tandem with animation).
7) Together with my comments (voice and text) I edit and make a reconstruction of emergency, non-standard and interesting situation in flight.
