Under the train tracks of Jackson Heights, Queens, is where you’ll find Birria Landia’s taco truck of dreams! José and Jesús, the brothers from Tijuana show me how they make their amazing tacos, tostadas, mulitas and that liquid gold consommé. Their phenomenal Birria is a juicy, spicy, flavour-bomb beef stew simmered for hours in a giant cauldron, utilising many different cuts of beef along with all the bones and beautiful bone marrow. All served with big love and big smiles. Eating truck-side with José was my standout memory of New York.
