One title that Whitened Lightning can claim immediately is "only wooden coaster in Orlando."
It certainly looks the part, by having an out-and-back route and vibrant, whitened support structure. Lightning comes with an L-formed design, with one leg composed mainly from the large lift hill and also the other featuring hillsides and valleys with sharp, throw-you-on-your-side track twists.
Additionally, it sounds the part, with clack-clack-clack noise associated the 12-passenger vehicle as much as its 75-feet peak. After that, the vehicle constitutes a twisting turn left and downward, an impressive fall when seen in the front row. It appeared like much more of straight-lower experience aboard the coaster of computer did on solid ground.
That coincided with my several "Wow, this really is fun" moments. Top speed is 48 miles per hour, but speeding through the area - such as the traffic on nearby International Drive - is exhilarating.
We rollicked with some air time - that tight lap bar was holding me down- to the corner in which the coaster banks strongly left to start the return trip. This is when I was happy that I had left my cellphone and other pocket electronics in my vehicle.
