China must be and will be reunified, and any attempt to obstruct the process of China's reunification is doomed to failure, said Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin at a press briefing in Beijing on Friday.
Wang made the remarks in response to the United States insisting on arranging for Taiwan region's political Lai Ching-te to make transit stops in New York and San Francisco respectively on his way to and from Paraguay.
