Hello, INFJs, and welcome to Herox Dose, the channel where we explore the fascinating world of the rarest personality type. I'm your host, Herox, and today we're going to talk about a common problem that many INFJs face: how to recharge your energy.
As an INFJ, you probably know how it feels to be drained by the demands of life. You have a deep sense of empathy and compassion for others, and you often put their needs before your own. You also have a rich inner world of ideas and insights, and you crave meaningful connections with people who share your vision. But sometimes, you feel like you have nothing left to give. You feel exhausted, overwhelmed, and disconnected from yourself.
Why does this happen? Why do INFJs struggle to recharge their energy? Well, there are many factors that can contribute to this problem, but here are five of the most common ones:
1. You absorb other people's emotions. As an INFJ, you have a natural ability to sense the feelings and moods of others, and sometimes you even take them on as your own. This can be a great gift, as it allows you to empathize and relate to others on a deep level. But it can also be a curse, as it can make you feel responsible for other people's happiness or pain. You may find yourself trying to fix their problems, or feeling guilty if you can't. This can drain your energy and make you lose touch with your own emotions.⁵
2. You have trouble setting boundaries. As an INFJ, you value harmony and peace, and you don't like conflict or confrontation. You may find it hard to say no to others or to express your own needs and preferences. You may also have a tendency to overcommit yourself or to take on more than you can handle. You may feel obligated to please others or to live up to their expectations. This can drain your energy and make you feel resentful or frustrated.⁴
3. You are a perfectionist. As an INFJ, you have high standards for yourself and others, and you strive for excellence in everything you do. You are driven by your ideals and values, and you want to make a positive difference in the world. But sometimes, your perfectionism can get in the way of your happiness. You may be too hard on yourself, or too critical of others. You may have unrealistic expectations, or focus on the flaws instead of the strengths. You may also procrastinate or avoid doing things that are important to you because you fear failure or criticism. This can drain your energy and make you feel anxious or depressed.²
4. You overthink everything. As an INFJ, you have a powerful intuition and a creative imagination. You are able to see the big picture and the hidden meanings behind things. You enjoy exploring different possibilities and perspectives and finding connections between seemingly unrelated concepts. But sometimes, your overthinking can become a problem. You may get stuck in analysis paralysis, or ruminate on negative thoughts or scenarios. You may also doubt yourself, or second-guess your decisions. This can drain your energy and make you feel confused or indecisive.⁶
5. You neglect your physical needs. As an INFJ, you are more focused on the mental and emotional aspects of life than the physical ones. You may forget to take care of your basic needs, such as eating well, sleeping enough, exercising regularly, or relaxing properly. You may also ignore the signals that your body sends you, such as pain, fatigue, or illness. You may think that these things are not important, or that they are distractions from your higher purpose. But the truth is that your physical health affects your mental and emotional health, and vice versa. If you neglect your physical needs, you will eventually pay the price in terms of lower energy levels and reduced well-being.⁵
As an INFJ, you have a unique and valuable personality type. You have so much to offer to the world, and to yourself. But you can only do that if you recharge your energy and take care of yourself. Don't let the challenges of life drain you or dim your light. You deserve to shine and to be happy.
