영국 기준금리 1%로 인상... 13년 만에 최고
The Bank of England has hiked its key interest rate to a 13-year-high,... in a move aimed at tackling inflation fueled by high energy prices, the war in Ukraine and lingering concerns about the pandemic.
The bank's Monetary Policy Committee voted 6-to-3 to lift the rate by a quarter-percentage point to one percent.
This is the Bank of England's fourth consecutive rate hike,... and comes with inflation in the UK running at 30-year highs.
It also comes a day after the Federal Reserve announced its single biggest rate increase in over two decades,... signaling that more are on the way.
