Kadhi Bhel is a Speciality recipe from Nashik. Traditionally, kadhi is made in many maharashtrian and Gujarati households to eat along with rice or khichadi. Nowadays Places in Nashik combine this with Bhel (a different street food chaat (भेळ भत्ता )a mixture of shev , gathishev, papdi, chivada and peanuts) to make this truly unique dish.
Instead of using rice flakes and tamarind sauce to make the Bhel tangy and moist, we can add in kadhi to make it tangy and spicy. The spice levels can be adjusted to taste, as it tastes delicious in both hot and sweet-tangy variants.
Kadhi, A recipe with or without garlic cloves can go hand in hand with farsaan. Yellow gram flour, Curd and water are the main key ingredients to make kadhi thick or thin. In kadhi Bhel recipe, you can consider making a kadhi little bit thin rather than making it regular thick.
Best served hot with a side of jalebi for sweetness..
